7th International Symposium on Bioanalysis, Biomedical Engineering and Nanotechnology (7th ISBBN 2016)

The 7th International Symposium on Bioanalysis, Biomedical Engineering and Nanotechnology (7th ISBBN 2016) will be held at Hunan University, Changsha, China, from May 26h to May 29th , 2016. (May 26, Registration. May27-29 Meeting). The meeting is sponsored by Hunan University and the Natural Science Foundation of China, and it is organized by the State Key Laboratory of Chemo/Biosensing and Chemometrics, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, College of Biology, Institute of Chemical Biology and Nanomedicine and Collaborative Research Center for Chemistry and Molecular Medicine at Hunan University.

6th ISBBN in May, 2014 at Hunan University,China

Hunan University is located in the vibrant city of Changsha, a historical and beautiful city in the central southern part of China. Actually, Changsha has just been ranked to be the No. 1 city in China as the “Happiest Cities in China”. The university campus sits on the hills of the scenic Yuelu Mountains and overlooks the mighty Xiang River. Hunan University traces its origin to the YueLu Academy, which was founded in 976 AD. It has been the site of educational and cultural activities for more than one thousand years. The symposium, which explores the frontiers of bioanalysis, biomedical engineering and nanotechnology, will surely be enriched in this "One-Thousand-Year-Old Institution of Education" and will have a far-reaching impact beyond China. This series of meetings has been held 6 times since 2002, and the tradition will be continued every other year in order to explore the latest developments in science and engineering related molecular science, nanotechnology and biomedicine. This year we have one more event, the Dedication of the Building for the Institute of Chemical Biology and Nanomedicine at Hunan University, headed by Professor Chad Mirkin from Northwestern University. We expect an exciting and fruitful meeting as we did for the last six times in this series of international meetings.
The symposium’s scientific program is designed to promote interaction and communication among scientists from various disciplines. The program will include stimulating plenary and keynote presentations from many internationally prominent scientists, as well as short presentations and poster sessions from graduate and undergraduate students, introducing research at the forefront of bioanalysis, biomedical engineering and nanotechnology. In addition to stimulating multidisciplinary research and development, this meeting will be a strong promoter for international collaboration. The three-day symposium will include the following programs:

     • Molecular sciences and engineering
    • Bioanalysis and Nanotechnology
    • Chemical Biology
    • Biomedical Engineering
    • Nanomedicine

Many of the prominent scholars shown in the conference photos (both 2014 and 2012) have already committed to participate in the 7th ISBBN. We welcome each ONE of you to join us in this conference in May, 2016. Details about this meeting will be sent out soon and also will be available in a meeting website under construction.
I look forward to seeing you in the “Happiest City” at the end of May, 2016.
