化学生物前沿论坛（二十五）开讲

10月19日，应我实验室邀请，韩国Seoul National University 的Taeghwan Hyeon教授来我室讲学，作了题为“Designed Chemical Synthesis and Assembly of Uniform-sized Nanoparticles for Medical Applications”学术报告，受到广大师生的热烈欢迎。之后，Taeghwan Hyeon教授参观了实验室，与我室部分年轻教师进行了深入交流。此次讲学是我室“化学生物前沿论坛”系列讲座的第二十五讲，谭蔚泓主任主持。

Short Biography of Taeghwan Hyeon
Taeghwan Hyeon received his B. S. (1987) and M. S. (1989) in Chemistry from Seoul National University (SNU), Korea. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from U. Illinois (1996). Since he joined the faculty of the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering of Seoul National University in September 1997, he has been focused on the synthesis and applications of uniform-sized nanoparticles and related nanostructured materials, and published >270 papers in prominent international journals. From 2010 to 2016, he has been serving as “SNU Distinguished Fellow” (Distinguished University Professor) of the Seoul National University.In 2011, he was selected as “Top 100 Chemists” of the decade (2000-2010) by UNESCO&IUPAC. Since 2012, he has been serving as a Director of Center for Nanoparticle Research ofInstitute for Basic Science (IBS). He is Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and Materials Research Society (MRS). He received many awards including the Korea S&T Award from Korean President (2016), Hoam Prize (2012), POSCO-T. J. Park Award (2008), and the IUVSTA Prize for Technology (Int U. Vacuum S&T Assoc. 2016). Since 2010, he has served as an Associate Editor of J. Am. Chem. Soc. He has been serving as editorial (advisory) board members of ACS Central Science, Advanced Materials, Nanoscale, Nano Today, and Small.
