First Announcement

2010 4th International Symposium on Bioanalysis, Biomedical Engineering and Nanotechnology (ISBBN 2010)

The 4th International Symposium on Bioanalysis, Biomedical Engineering and Nanotechnology (ISBBN 2010) will be held at Hunan University in Changsha, Hunan, China from June 5-8, 2010. The meeting is organized by the State Key Laboratory of Chemo/Biosensing and Chemometrics and School of Biology at Hunan University, and sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Department, and Hunan University.

Hunan University locates in Changsha, a historical and beautiful city in the Central South of China. The campus sits on scenic hills of Yuelu Mountain, and faces Xiang River. Hunan University is developed from the origin of YueLu Academy founded in 976 A.D. and educational and academic activities have sustained for more than one thousand years. In the famous "One-Thousand-Year-Old Institution of Education", we hold this meeting to explore the frontier of studies on biomedical engineering, bioanalysis, and nanotechnology. The meeting will surely have a huge impact on studies of related research fields and bring us a platform for international cooperation. As a series symposium in the exploration of the frontier of biomedicine-related science and technology, the meeting is held every other year at Hunan University and the last three meetings were conducted successfully in 2002, 2006, and 2008, respectively.

The program of the symposium is designed to promote interactions and communication among scientists from various disciplines. The program will include stimulating plenary and keynote presentations from many internationally prominent scientists, contributed presentations, and posters. We hope that the meeting will promote international collaboration while stimulating multidisciplinary research and development in bioanalysis, biomedical engineering, biotechnology and nanotechnology. The prizes for outstanding posters will be announced at the end of the meeting. The three day symposium included 1. Bioanalysis and nanotechnology; 2. Biomedical engineering; 3. Biotechnology and biomedicine. We expect an audience around 200 scientists from all over the world.
