Introduction
Dr. Zhu graduated from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science & Technology in 2000 and received his Doctor Degree in Medicine. Then he moved to USA and finished his postdoctoral research work at University of Florida College of Medicine in 2005. He became an Assistant Scientist in May 2005 and worked as a faculty member at Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at University of Florida College of Medicine from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Zhu has been a professor at Hunan University College of Biology since October 2008. He has also been working as an adjunct professor at Hunan Tumor Hospital (Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Xiangya Medical School of Central South University) since September 2009. He has published over 100 scientific research papers. H obtained grants from National Science & Technology Major Project and National Natural Science Foundation of China etc. He applied 6 patents including 2 international patents. One international patent was licensed. His research area includes virology, immunology and cancer molecular biology etc. His primary research interest concerns the interaction between virus and host, cancer cell signaling pathway, the mechanisms of drug resistance, the invasion mechanisms of virus and cancer cells and development of novel biological targeted therapy for hepatitis and liver cancer.
